According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in October 2024, China exported 580,000 tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, a year-on-year increase of 31.1%. From January to October, total exports reached 5.49 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%.
In October, China exported 170,000 tons of alumina, a year-on-year increase of 141.7%. Cumulative exports from January to October amounted to 1.41 million tons, up 40.7% year-on-year.
In October, China imported 320,000 tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, a year-on-year decrease of 8.7%. From January to October, total imports were 3.17 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 32.4%.
In October, China imported 12.29 million tons of bauxite and its concentrates, a year-on-year increase of 11.0%. From January to October, total imports of bauxite and its concentrates reached 131.56 million tons, up 11.9% year-on-year.
